Jim is President of Douglas Elliman Property Management, the largest residential property management firm in the New York metropolitan area and the sixth largest third party contract manager in the United States. Formerly the Director of Management of Kreisel Company, Jim joined Insignia when that firm, along with the management division of Douglas Elliman-Gibbons and Ives, was acquired by Insignia in 1995.

Jim assembled and oversees a staff that is responsible for the day-to-day management of over 40,000 apartments in over 240 properties in the metropolitan area, a management team of over 200 employees and over 4000 building service employees. Jim has spearheaded Insignia's increasingly dominant presence in the outer boroughs, Northern New Jersey and Westchester County.

Jim is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York and serves on the residential management committee; a Trustee of the Realty Advisory Board and a member of its negotiating committee for labor contracts; a board member of the Apartment Owners Advisory Council and a member of the New York Building Managers.
